What's up now?

Wow! What a summer we have been having!
Firstly traveling to Mississippi to visit with Adrian and Carla where we explored the land of the Delta Blues. John Lee Hooker, Mississippi Fred McDowell, Sam Cook, Muddy Waters and many other great artists hail from this humid magical farmland. The legend of Robert Johnson's deal with the Devil was born there. During our visit there was nothing but music and food and of course the Big Muddy. It was inspiring and enchanting.

Secondly back home we got to meet the filmmakers behind the "Hearts of the Dulcimer" documentary. They filmed us as we played many of our original tunes and playing the famous dulcimer anthem "Pack up Your Sorrows." They interviewed us about our feelings on the instrument and our own history. Wayne Jiang and Patricia Delich are great storytellers at dulcimuse.com that are committed to the instrument. Go visit that website and the like their Facebook page to show support for their project.
We are not in the movie but possibly will find our way to the DVD extras.

We enjoyed spending time with them...and speaking of time here are some upcoming gigs:

Redwood Valley Farmers Market  July 21 and August 11 and those are early morning Sunday mornings at 10:30
Ruth McGowen's Pub in Cloverdale
On September 14 and November 30 "this is a great brew pub"
And don't forget our annual "Taste of Autumn" October 6 "this is always a great benefit"
